On 3/22/22, at approximately 6:00 p.m., a jewelry store experienced its second smash and grab robbery in less than a year. In the most recent robbery, several subjects entered the store and used hammers to break display cases. They then fled the store with various merchandise and entered awaiting vehicles. The subjects were reportedly armed with handguns, but no shots were fired. At approximately 7:25 p.m., officers from the Manhattan Beach Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle, that was believed to be involved in the crime. The driver did not stop, and a police pursuit then ensued. The pursuit ended in Los Angeles, CA and resulted in five arrests. Two additional subjects were arrested in a separate traffic stop.
