DISTRACTION – LAKEWOOD, CA

On 9/7/17, at approximately 2:37 p.m., two suspects stood on each side of a sales associate. As the sales associate presented items from an unlocked showcase, the first suspect reached in the showcase two times to point at merchandise. While the associate conversed with both suspects, suspect 1 reached into the case a third time. This time he pointed to an item and also picked up an element without the associate knowing. He then held the item in the palm of his hand and walked behind the sales associate. The suspects then left the store. Both men are described as Hispanic and in their mid 30’s. The first suspect is 5’8” and weighs 190 pounds. He wore a grey shirt with a black strip on each shoulder and a black and white trucker style hat. The second suspect is 5’9” and weighs 230 pounds. He wore a white and peach colored striped short sleeve shirt with tan cowboy boots.
