On 1/10/18, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a male subject inquired about diamond rings. As the sales associate was showing the subject a diamond ring, the subject displayed a knife. He grabbed the ring and fled from the store. The team leader chased the subject into the mall and alerted a mall security guard. The guard attempted to chase after the subject, but the subject brandished his knife. The guard then let the subject leave the mall. The subject was subsequently apprehended by police in the mall parking lot.
