On 8/23/2018 at 1852 hours, an officer was dispatched to an antique store on a report of a distraction theft. The owner said he saw a group of people come into the store right before he closed his shop at
approximately 1700 hours.

There were four adults and one child in the group. He described Subject No. 1
as a Middle Eastern male, approximately 40 years old, 6-2, 200 pounds. It was later discovered through
video surveillance that Subject 1 was wearing an orange and white striped shirt and dark-colored pants.
Subject 2 as a Middle Eastern female approximately 70 years old, 5’7″, 150 pounds. Subject 2 was later
determined via video surveillance to be wearing a black and white scarf and a long white dress.
Subject 3 was described as a Middle Eastern female approximately 40 years old, 5’7″, 150, last seen
wearing a white long dress.

Subject 4 was described as a Middle Eastern female approximately 40 years old, 5’7″, 150. Subject No 4
was later determined via video surveillance to be wearing a long red dress. The kid that was with the
group was approximately a 4 year old Middle Eastern girl with unknown clothing. Victim said the group
walked in and he began speaking with Subject No. 1. Subject No. 1 was asking him about Sterling silver.
Subject No. 1 then introduced Subject No. 2 as his mother.

Subjects 1, 2, 3 and 4 were all walking throughout his store looking at the various displays with jewelry inside. Suspect 1 asked him to show rings to one of the subjects that were located in a glass display case on the northeast section of the store. The victim said he was being distracted by Subject 1 as the group of suspects kept asking for different rings to try on.

The group walked out without buying anything. Victim said it was odd as Subject 1 told him to save the
rings and he will be coming back 4 days later to pay for them and pick them up. Victim later went inside
and noticed that the door to the safe was open. All of his money and jewelry that was inside of the safe
was gone. Items stolen: Two gold Hong Kong coins valued at approximately $1,000.00, $2,200.00 in cash, one brown Cartier match case valued at approximately $1,000.00, and approximately $3,500.00
