Detroit, MI – On March 7, 2019, federal prosecutors indicted 25-year-old Jonathan Woods. The Detroit based rapper,� who raps under the name “Selfmade Kash,” bragged about committing credit card fraud on Instagram.

Woods was charged with wire fraud, aggravated identity theft,� and possession� of unauthorized access devices. The indictment accused Woods of training people on how to commit� credit card fraud. He also advised would-be criminals on how to navigate the dark web to buy stolen credit cards. According to prosecutors, the credit card fraud scheme started in May 2017.

Woods used social media including Twitter and Instagram to claim he was the greatest swiper of all time – meaning he was the greatest credit card fraudster. Woods also displayed credit card skimmers on his Instagram page to promote his crimes.

If convicted, Woods faces 20 years in federal prison.
