Escondido, CA- On February 7, 2020, detectives from the Escondido Police Department arrested 66-year-old Huong Thi Tran. Tran allegedly stole more than $300,000 worth of jewelry from about a dozen stores between 2008 and 2019.

Tran targeted jewelry stores in Southern California, Virginia, and Texas. Tran used sleight-of-hand to steal jewelry. Investigators from the Long Beach Police Department and Orange County Police Department assisted Escondido police in the investigation.
