On 6/17/20, a federal grand jury in New Haven, CT returned a superseding indictment which charged three men for the robbery of 69-year-old jeweler Marc Vuono, who was murdered in his Stamford, CT store on 3/28/20. The suspects were identified as� Robert Rallo, 56, of Brooklyn, NY; Thomas Liberatore, 62, of White Plains, NY; and Paul Prosano, 59, of Brooklyn, NY.

On the day of the crime, Prosano drove Rallo and Liberatore to the jewelry store in a black Jaguar.� Rallo and Liberatore proceeded to go into the store. Rallo was armed with a gun and engaged in a physical altercation with Vuono. Liberatore stole items from display cases. A struggle ensued between Rallo and Vuono, who also had a firearm. The struggle lasted for more than 3 minutes. The two struggled near an open safe. Rallo reached into the safe and removed a third gun, which he used to shoot and kill Vuono. If convicted, Rallo and Liberatore face a mandatory sentence of life imprisonment, or death if the government decides to pursue the death penalty. Click here to learn more.
