On 2/26/21, 56-year-old Charles “Supreme” Walker, Jr., was sentenced to 411 months in prison for two counts of Hobbs Act robbery, conspiracy to commit Hobbs Act robbery, brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a federal crime of violence, aiding and abetting, and witness tampering. Walker was convicted on 12/11/20. The conviction was a result of two gunpoint robberies at jewelry stores. One robbery occurred in Garner, NC and the other occurred in Elizabeth City, NC. The suspects escaped with nearly $600,000 wort of jewelry from those crimes. Walker was previously convicted of first-degree murder.
