DIAMOND SWITCH – PUYALLUP, WA

On 7/12/21, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a female subject entered a jewelry store and requested to see various rings.� After initially requesting to look at bands, the subject stated she was interested in upgrading her current ring.� Once the associate brought the subject to the bridal showcase, the subject browsed various solitaires.� The associate handed the subject a solitaire ring, at which point the subject asked the associate to check the price on the ring.� The subject then handed a different ring back to the associate and stated that she “did not like the style of the head” on the ring.� The associate immediately recognized that the pieces had been swapped, and after requesting the original solitaire back from the subject, the subject fled from the store.� The subject was also the same person who committed a diamond switch at another jewelry store in Auburn, WA on 7/7/21.� She was described as a white female, in her late 20’s or early 30’s. She is approximately 5’3″, heavy set, and was last seen wearing a black/white jacket, and black medical scrubs.� The subject also has a bridge-style piercing on her nose.
