On 11/10/21,� during the 12 o’clock hour, a male subject entered a retail jewelry store and shopped for an engagement ring and a set of 1 1/5 ctw diamond stud earrings.� He said he was “in the doghouse” and needed to make some purchases. Once the associate rung the items up, the man wrote a check for the amount.� The name on the check indicated it was named after a lawn care business and had an Atlanta address.� The man portrayed that he was calling his bank for approval and provided an approval number over his telephone.� The associate knew wiser and the check was declined and refused.� The man then attempted to present a traveler’s check and was refused. It is believed the man is going city to city and state to state attempting check fraud schemes.� He said he had been in Birmingham, AL, and had visited other jewelry stores. The subject has a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a black Nike hoodie with a white Nike logo.
