Jackson, MS -� On December 16, 2021, the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Mississippi issued a press release announcing Joshua Garcia, 42, has pleaded guilty to a triple homicide at a pawnshop.

On December 17, 2016, Garcia and his co-defendant, Jamison Layne Townsend, went to a pawnshop to commit a robbery. During the robbery, Garcia shot and killed three people who worked in the business:� Robert Ivy, 60; Ted McLemore,77;� and Cleveland Mosley, 81, the owner of the business.� Garcia is scheduled to be sentenced on March 22, 2022.� He faces a maximum penalty of life in prison.

On July 1, 2017, while Garcia was in a detention facility, a guard observed him attempting to climb through the razor wire at the top of the jail’s recreation yard. Garcia was unable to get through the wire and he was taken into custody.
