On 4/20/22, at approximately 5:11 p.m., a retail jewelry store was the victim of a glass life.� After a review of video footage, it was determined that two subjects entered the location and proceeded to the display case containing gold merchandise, which is located on the lease line.� Subject #1 proceeded to remove a small crowbar and bent the metal casing on top of the case while subject #2 was at the opposite end of the case.� Once the first metal casing was bent, subject #1 and subject #2 switched sides, and subject #1 then bent the metal casing on that end, which exposed the glass.� The glass was removed from the display case which exposed the merchandise.� At this point, a customer attempted to get the attention of employees, but they were all busy. The merchandise was removed and both subjects fled on foot.� The store was immediately locked down after the loss was identified and a call was placed to the Cheektowaga Police Department who responded and obtained the video.
Both subjects were described as Black males in their twenties. They both wore white surgical masks and glasses. They both also wore black stocking hats and black pants. The first subject wore a gray jacket, and the second subject wore a black jacket.
