On 12/27/17, at approximately 11:00 p.m., a 14-year-old and a 16-year-old secreted themselves inside of a jewelry store. After the store closed, the subjects remained inside and used hammers to break into display cases. They then took jewelry. At approximately 1:30 a.m., Akron Police received a call from a local hospital. The two teenagers flagged down Summa Hospital Police and said they needed to escape the cold. The officers found several� pieces of jewelry, a knife and an unloaded gun. The two juveniles were charged with breaking and entering, trespassing, criminal damaging, theft and carrying a concealed weapon.
