On 6/5/18, at approximately 7:30 p.m., a subject entered a jewelry store and inquired about diamond rings. The staff was suspicious and offered the subject a line of credit. The subject said his ID was in his car. The staff then conducted the presentation by showing items through the showcase. The subject then left the store and then returned as the associates were attending to other customers.

Upon returning to the store, the subject approached one of the diamond showcases and then smashed it with a hammer. The hammer handle broke into the showcase. The subject then fled from the store without any jewelry.

The subject was described as a 35-year-old Black male. He is 6’0” tall and weighs 200 pounds. He is dark skinned and has long brown dreadlocks with brown eyes. He also has a tattoo on his right arm. He was last seen wearing a bright green plaid button-down shirt and dark colored pants.
