COLLIERVILLE, TN- GRAB AND RUN

COLLIERVILLE, TN- On October 6, 2025, A jewelry store was the victim of a grab and run theft. At around 2:08 PM, a lone male suspect entered the location under the premise of buying a gift for his father. The suspect approached the men’s fashion showcase and asked to see a large diamond ring. The employee began a conversation with the suspect to obtain information for Clientele. The suspect claimed his name was Kevin Shields but was reluctant to give an email address or address. The employee showed the suspect several diamond rings as requested but maintained control of the pieces. When that was unsuccessful, the suspect asked to see a gold a diamond men’s charm and a chain that would match. The suspect kept his hands in his pockets, refrained from touching anything and spoke in a low voice as he avoided eye contact. He was presented with the charm but wanted to see it on the matching gold and diamond necklace. The charm was placed on the necklace for the suspect to see. Once on the counter pad the suspect grabbed it from the team member and fled the store into the parking lot. The suspect was observed fleeing the parking lot in a newer black 4-door Hyundai SUV with black and Chrome rims. The vehicle was backed in and left running. It had a New York license plate (LNC-6248) and was determined to be a rental car. No injuries were reported. A report was filed with Collierville Police.

Suspect(s) Description: Male, black, dark complexion, 5’9’, 35-40 years old, 190lbs, slight goatee, athletic build, tattoos on neck and arms. Wearing a green ball cap, large gold and diamond chain, black t-shirt, light blue jeans and dark black/gray tennis shoes. He also was observed with a lighter attached to his belt loop.
