COUNTERFEIT CURRENCY – CHICAGO, IL

On 9/26/20, at approximately 11:58 a.m., a Black male subject entered a jewelry store and requested to see gold chains. Once he had possession of a Cuban link chain, he placed 4 stacks of $20 bills totaling $8000 on the counter. He then left the store. All but 8 bills were found to be counterfeit. The subject is 5’10” and weighs 185 lbs. He was last seen wearing a blue denim shirt, grey pants and black shoes. He has dark curled hair. He also carried a man bag.
