On 1/10/17, at approximately 6:40 p.m., a suspect committed a diamond switch. The suspect concealed a ring in his palm and then asked to see a diamond anniversary band. The suspect took the ring to the store’s gem-scope and examined the piece. When the sales associate was not paying attention, the suspect placed the ring into his shirt and left the fake ring in place. The associate realized the ring had been switched. When she asked the suspect to return the ring, the suspect denied any wrongdoing. He then left the store.
