On 9/10/18, two subjects visited a jewelry store and stated they were interested in viewing diamonds. The sales associate presented multiple diamonds for the subjects to view. After the first subject was given a diamond, he dropped it on the floor and attempted to switch it while the associate was distracted. The associate caught the subject attempting to switch the diamond and called for the security guards assistance. The associate demanded the subject return the diamond and he did. The subject and his accomplice then exited the store.

The subjects that attempted this theft are responsible for diamond switches in Michigan, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Connecticut, and Ohio. The first subject was described as a 25-year-old light-skinned black male. He is 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 160 lbs.� The second subject was described as a 25-year-old Hispanic male. He is 5’10” and weighs 200 lbs. The first subject has a tattoo on his forearm that reads “Life’s a gamble.” He also has tattoos of playing cards on one of his forearms.
