Cincinnati, OH – On September 22, 2017, five individuals were indicted for their role in the robbery of a traveling jewelry salesman in Monroeville, PA in 2016.

The subjects are all residents of Ohio. They were charged with conspiring to commit a Hobbs Act Robbery; which is a federal law banning interference with interstate commerce.

On April 4, 2016, traveling jewelry salesman from New York, stopped at a restaurant. While he was inside, four subjects ran towards his van and assaulted a second salesman that was still inside the van. The subjects escaped with $1.2 million worth of jewelry.

All five suspects could face up to 20 years in prison.
