On 1/12/21, 25-year-old Ever Ramiro Torres Enriquez was sentenced to 84 months and a day in federal prison, followed by three years of� supervised release. The sentence was imposed as a result of an armed robbery Enriquez committed at a jewelry store Takoma Park, Maryland on February 16, 2019. He was also ordered to pay restitution of $174,967; which was the loss amount the store suffered. On the day of the robbery, Enriquez purported to be shopping for his girlfriend. Shortly thereafter, his accomplice Douglas Amilcar-Vasquez entered the store and demanded money and jewelry as he brandished a handgun. At that point Enriquez brandished a black rifle which was hidden under his clothes. Torres and Amilcar-Vasquez proceeded to steal over 400 pieces of jewelry. Amilcar-Vasquez, has pleaded guilty and he is scheduled to be sentenced on March 16, 2021.
