On the date listed above, the suspects featured below, identified as 22-year-old Matthew Jones and 18-year-old Helen Simmons were arrested in Huntington Beach, CA after a vehicle pursuit.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona said their descriptions were consistent with the descriptions of the suspects involved in a gunpoint smash and grab robbery at a jewelry store in Anthem, AZ on July 12, 2022.
On that date, the two suspects named above allegedly went into the store and one suspect brandished a gun at employees, while a second suspect smashed display cases and stole jewelry. During the robbery, an employee sustained a gunshot wound. The suspects then fled on a motorcycle.
