On the date listed above, 69-year-old Mark Vuono (featured), was shot and killed during a robbery in his jewelry store.
According to a press release from� Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin and Lt. Thomas Scanlon; at 2:45 p.m., a customer entered the store and contacted police after seeing evidence of a crime. Click here to learn more and read an article written by Rob Bates of JCK Online.

Update: On April 4, 2020, Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin was quoted as saying “We would like the community and media to know that we have persons of interests involved in this robbery-homicide at Marco Jewelers in custody in New York.”
The identities of the suspects have not been released. Capt. Conklin stated the arrests were a result of a partnership between the Stamford Police Department major crime investigators, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Stamford State’s Attorneys Office. Second Update: On April 9, 2020, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Connecticut issued a detailed press release identifying the three suspects that were involved in the robbery that resulted in Mark Vuono’s death. The suspects are Robert Rallo, 56, of Brooklyn, NY; Thomas Liberatore, 62, of White Plains, NY; and Paul Prosano, 59, of Brooklyn, NY.
