On the date listed above,� Damir “Damian” Pejcinovic, the leader of an international team of burglars, who amassed over $13 million in ill-gotten gains, was sentenced to 8 years in prison.

Pejcinovic’s crew was responsible for numerous jewelry store burglaries that occurred in the United States and Europe between 2006 and 2017.� Assistant US Attorney Andrew Chan described Pejcinovic by saying:� “It was the defendant who decided where, when, and how each burglary was going to happen,”� Pejcinovic was also said to typically wait in his vehicle while his co-conspirators did the “dirty work” of defeating alarms, breaching safes, and stealing jewelry.

Pejcinovic’s crew was infamous for committing a $3 million burglary on New Year’s Eve in 2016 in New York City. Upon� his arrest in 2018, investigators found a blueprint of a jewelry store as well as information on his laptop showing he researched store’s in varying parts of the world.
