GRAB AND RUN – ELYRIA, OHIO

On 5/4/16, at approximately 4:00 p.m., a male suspect entered the kiosk and was recognized by a sales associate who previously sold him a chain. The suspect stated that he wanted to look at larger chains. At that point the sales associate removed a rope chain from the display case. The suspect bent down and placed the chain around his neck so he could process the sale. At this time, the suspect ran from the store with the chain around his neck. The suspects was described as an African American male. He is 5’9” and has a slender build. He wore jeans, a black shirt and a white hoodie. The suspect wore black and white tennis shoes and had wavy hair. He also had slits in his eyebrows. ATTEMPTED ROBBERY – WALNUT, CA

On 5/9/16, at 4:30 p.m., three suspects wearing all black tried to hold up a jewelry store with automatic weapons. Two armed security guards were stationed outside the front door. The suspects began firing their weapons, as they ran up the stairs. The security guards returned fire. The would-be robbers then fled. No one was injured in the shooting. Jewelry Fences Arrested

The manager and co-owner of a jewelry store in Bettendorf, Iowa were arrested on May 4, 2016 for knowingly being in possession of stolen property.

ATTEMPTED ROBBER ARRESTED – GARDEN CITY, NY

On 5/7/16, at approximately 5:10 p.m, a subject in his early 60’s entered a jewelry store and said he wanted to buy a watch. He took a hammer from his backpack and placed it on the counter. As this was happening, the security guard was aware that this subject was wanted in connection to the same incident at another jeweler. After a brief confrontation, the subject was arrested by the Nassau County Police Department.

On May 5, 2016 41-year-old, Humberto Herrera was arrested Homestead, FL. Herrera is accused of committing an armed robbery at a department store on May 3, 2016 in Homestead, FL.

GRAB AND RUN – ORLANDO, FL

On 5/4/16, at approximately 8:40 p.m., two male subjects approached the jewelry counter near the rear of a store. The sales associate proceeded to assist the subjects. Each subject asked to look at individual watches. As soon as they placed the watches on their wrists they ran out of the store. These subjects have also committed a similar grab and run in Orlando on 5/2/16. Both subjects are described as Black males. In the most recent offense, both subjects wore matching track style suits with a reflective strip on the sleeves and across the back. Both are believed to be wearing black sneakers with white soles. SMASH AND GRAB – INDIANAPOLIS, IN

On 5/4/16, at approximately 4:00 p.m., two suspects robbed an Indianapolis department store while armed with an ax. The suspects smashed into glass display cases and stole jewelry. GRAB & RUN – LONE TREE, CO

On 5/2/16, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a suspect asked to see diamond engagement rings. He said his budget was about $8,000. The suspect pulled out an envelope and flashed a large amount of bills to the sales associate. As the presentation continued, the suspect asked to compare two different rings. The sales associate allowed the suspect to hold one ring while she held the second ring. At this point, the suspect grabbed the ring from the sales associate and fled from the store. The suspect is described as a 35-year-old male with a dark complexion. He is 6’2” and weighs 170 pounds. He wore a Hawaiian print shirt, tan beach straw hat and sunglasses.
