On 6/11/19, law enforcement in Jacksonville, FL received a tip that robbers could be preparing to commit a smash and grab robbery at a jewelry store in their jurisdiction. At 6:50 p.m., when three male suspects committed a smash and grab at a jewelry store, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office surveillance team watched. SWAT officers responded and three suspects identified as John Dijuan Davis, Delano Carlos Ross, and Tristian G. Murphy were arrested at the scene.
A fourth man identified as Devon Manquil Newby, the driver, was later arrested in Georgia after leaving the scene. During the robbery, one of the suspects grabbed an employee by the neck and dragged her across the floor. No serious injuries have been reported.
