Woodland Hills, CA– Police are searching for three suspects who purportedly robbed a jewelry store owner as he was checking on a flat tire in the Woodland Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles Monday night.
The victim said he was leaving the Poquito Mas restaurant shortly before 9 p.m. when he noticed he had a flat tire and pulled over on the 21100 block of Ventura Boulevard near Canoga Avenue to check on it.
That’s when three males wearing ski masks jumped out of a van and approached him, he said.
“They put their knife on me and they grabbed my bag, and they took all of my stuff and all of my jewelry. More than $200,000 value jewelry. They robbed me,†the victim, Ali Sedaghat, told news video service RMG News.
Sedaghat, who described himself as a high-end jewelry designer with an office in downtown Los Angeles, believes he was being followed and the thieves had slashed his tire.
The incident is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, but they have yet to release any information regarding the case.
