On 3/9/20, Orange County police arrested 27-year-old Jose Herrera, who is alleged to have purchased items and attempted to purchase $360 worth of jewelry by using a stolen credit card. The card is believed to have been taken from a deceased man.

When Herrera was confronted by police, he tried to eat the debit card. Herrera was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of a stolen credit card, fraud involving a deceased person and making false statements to law enforcement while under oath.
