Tokyo, Japan – According to TBS News, on January 26, 2018, seven Chinese nationals were arrested following an investigation by Tokyo Metropolitan Police.

During the International Jewelry Tokyo trade show, police arrested seven men and one woman for allegedly stealing pearls and necklaces from dealers valued at 15 million yen ($136,680).

The subjects targeted the same event last year. The apprehensions were credited to an increased police presence at the show this year.

Members of the Pink Panda gang are comprised of Chinese Nationals. They have stolen jewelry in Japan and Europe by distracting employees.
