GRAB AND RUN – AUBURN, WA

On 6/5/2024, at approximately 3:50 p.m., a male subject expressed interest in gold chains and gold pendants. The subject browsed through several items, then said he would return to the store later. Shortly thereafter, the subject returned to the store with an unknown male subject. The subject requested to see a gold chain with a gold pendant. When the subject was told he could only view one item at a time, the subject held the gold chain and talked with the other unknown male, before running from the location with the gold chain. The second subject realized he had left, and quickly followed.

GRAB AND RUN – ESCONDIDO, CA

On 4/21/24, at 3:00 p.m., a jewelry store experienced a grab & run theft incident.� Upon approach to a mall the kiosk by the subject and his companion, the subject asked to see a gold chain with a pendant.� After the two exited, they returned shortly after where the subject asked for and was given two chains with pendants to look at.� The subject, who then tried them on as he stated he wanted to see how they looked layered, began to take pictures then ran off wearing both chains and pendants while his companion following behind.�

Subject Descriptions:

Subject �” Black male, approximately 19yrs old, 5’6”, slim body.� Last seen wearing a black hoodie and light blue denim skinny jeans.

Companion �” Black male, approximately 27-28 yrs. old, medium build, approximately 6’2”, short hair and has facial hair.� Last seen wearing gray shorts, gray hoodie.

Arlington Heights Police Announce Arrest of Armed Robbery Suspect

Arlington Heights, IL – On February 8, 2024, the Arlington Heights Police Department announced the arrest of 40-year-old Michael G. Nichols, who was the second suspect arrested for an armed robbery of a jewelry store that occurred on January 25, 2023 in Arlington Heights, IL.

In that incident, masked subjects entered the store with weapons, smashed multiple display cases, and stole several high-end pieces of jewelry.

Subjects wanted for gunpoint robbery

Martinsville, VA – On October 24, 2023, shortly after 10:30 a.m., three Hispanic males entered a jewelry store wearing masks.

The subjects detained employees at the back of the store, and when a customer entered the store, they were also detained.

While the subjects had guns, and an image of one of them brandishing a gun has been released, they did not discharge their weapons. The subjects took an undisclosed amount of jewelry and then fled in a 2014 burgundy Kia Sorrento.

Suspect identified after attempting smash and grab, and deploying bear repellent against employees

El Monte, CA – On September 9, 2023, the subject featured above deployed bear repellent against one of the store’s owners, a 70-year-old man who had been sitting outside the store. The subject then proceeded to go inside the store, sprayed other employees, and smashed a display case. The subject did not escape with any jewelry.

The subject was later identified as 36-year-old Joshua Lee Simmons.

BURGLARY – PLAINFIELD, IN

On 12/25/22, at approximately 5:18 a.m., a male subject smashed the lower glass window on the front door of a retail jewelry store and gained entry.� Once inside, the subject smashed the glass on one showcase with a hammer and stole the contents of the same.� The subject then exited the location through the hole in the glass of the front door.� The police were dispatched and responded to the location to investigate. The subject escaped. He wore a light grey or white sweatshirt with a black cloth on his head. He also wore dark-colored pants and white tennis shoes. ROBBERS PISTOL WHIPP EMPLOYEE – NEW YORK, NY

On 12/16/20, at approximately 1:55 p.m., two subjects committed an armed robbery at a jewelry store. The subjects pistol-whipped an employee and stole over $100,000 in baubles.

One of the subject’s wore a black and yellow puffer jacket. The other wore a dark-colored skull cap and a dark-colored jacket. One of the subject’s took seven pieces of jewelry from a wall display; which included neck chains and pendants. The subjects were described as being in their mid 30’s. Click here to view the crime.
