SPINNER THEFT – ELIZABETH, NJ

On 10/03/23, at approximately 4:38 p.m., a jewelry store reported a counter top spinner had been cut and the entire spinner was stolen. While two employees were helping guests, a male subject had cut the cable and placed the spinner on the floor. After making sure he wasn’t noticed, he placed a Walmart bag over the top of the spinner and carried it out of the store into the mall. The theft was noticed about an hour later.

Subject Description: Black male, 50’s, 510″ to 6’0” tall, heavy set, camouflage ball cap, and a scruffy beard. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, and a white t-shirt. DRYWALL ENTRY BURGLARY – KATY, TX

On 10/2/23, at approximately 12:14 a.m., a subject entered a vacant store next to a jewelry store. He broke enough of the drywall at the floor level to crawl into the jewelry store, behind the gold and sterling silver cases. The subject used a pry tool to open two cases. He then removed the contents of the cases and put the merchandise in a bag, then exited the store through the same hole.

Smash and grab robbers deploy bear spray against jewelers and security guard

Palmdale, CA – On September 28, 2023, at 12:06 p.m., a group of three robbers entered a jewelry store. One of the subjects began spraying the store’s security guard with bear spray. The subject then sprayed other employees.

The second subject began smashing showcases. A third subject proceeded to grab jewelry from the display cases, and place them into a plastic bin.

GRAB & RUN – BRANDON, FL

On 09/26/23, at approximately 7:24 p.m., an unidentified female subject went into a jewelry store and stated she was looking for rings. The team member initially directed her to the clearance section after she said she wanted something for $500.00. After finding nothing there, they eventually went to the Bridal Section where the subject tried on several rings without incident. The subject was then turned over to a new team member who showed her a few more different rings. The subject� then requested to see a 4 CCTW ring, and when it was provided to her, she tried it on her finger and then proceeded to run out the door to the nearest mall exit.

The subject was described as a Black female. She is 150 lbs, and in her late 20’s. She is between 5’6-5’7”. She also has long eyelashes, long blonde hair, and she was last seen wearing black pants, and a cream, white and gray V neck shirt, as well as black socks and sandals. She also has long nails with Coco Chanel on her pointer finger and Libra on her ring finger. Five suspects arrested for jewelry robbery

Paris, France – September 27, 2023 – Police in France have recently arrested five suspects for their involvement in a robbery in Paris that occurred on August 1, 2023. In that incident, a large value of jewelry and watches were stolen by a group of robbers. Police have reportedly arrested a veteran jewel thief who is among one of the five subjects.

Prosecutors initially reported that three subjects, consisting of a two men wearing suits and a woman wearing a dress, were “directly involved” in the crime. One of the subjects was armed with a gun.

One of the five suspects that was arrested was identified as 66-year-old Assia Bendjaber. Coincidentally, Bendjaber was sentenced earlier this month to 12 years in prison for committing another robbery at a luxury goods store in 2016.

ROOFTOP BURGLARY – WAKE COUNTY, NC

On 09/23/23, at approximately 2:45 a.m, two unknown subjects cut through a jewelry store’s roof and entered the location in the back room of the store. One subject went to a room and began pulling wires. He eventually pulled the alarm box off the wall and removed the backup battery from the alarm box. Eventually, he went to the circuit breaker board and turned off the power to the store. They smashed a total of 8 showcases and removed the merchandise. A larger loss was averted because the merchandise that was supposed to be in the safe was kept in the safe. The subjects were described as two male subjects dressed in all black with gloves and a mask. DISTRACTION THEFT – GREENWOOD, IN

On 9/21/23, at 11:27 a.m., two subjects entered a jewelry store and wanted to see bracelets.� As items were selected, the team member placed an element on the counter containing four bracelets.� At this point, the subjects pointed to merchandise at the opposite side of the case and when the team member turned her head, the first subject removed a bracelet with her left hand from the element and concealed it in her pocket.� The theft was not discovered until after the subjects left the store.�

Subject Descriptions:� Subject #1 �” Black female �” late 30’s, 5’3”, 120 lbs.� She was last seen wearing a white cap, pink pants, a yellow top, and yellow shoes.� She also wore a light blue jacket.� Subject #2 �” Black male �” 30’s, 5’10”, 160 lbs.� He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and ripped blue jeans and black and white tennis shoes. GRAB AND RUN – TAMPA, FL

On 09/20/23, at 1:00 p.m., two unidentified female subjects approached a jewelry kiosk in a mall and asked about leasing options. While the sales associate explained leasing options, the first subject asked to see a Miami Cuban chain. She was shown the chain and she stated she liked it. While discussing the lease options, she� stated she might be interested so the chain was moved over by the register. She continued to ask the associate questions about the matching bracelet and was shown it, and she stated how she liked it, but said no and asked to try on the necklace one more time to confirm.

As the second subject asked� a question, the sales associate told the subject trying on the chain that only one item could be tried on at a time. The subject who was described as wearing baby blue gives the necklace back so the other subject could see the bracelet and the necklace. The subject tried on the bracelet that matches the necklace she liked. � She then saw a chain and asked to see the charm on it. It was put on, but the sales associate� had the necklace wrapped throughout her hand and fingers� to secure it. As the sales associate went to show her on her hand, she snatched the chain and charm and the other subject attempted to grab the other� chain but was unsuccessful. Both subjects then began to walk away laughing towards a department store’s exit. A report was filed with the Tampa Police for further investigation.

Suspect 1- Black female �” early 30’s, � 5’6 , 125-135 lbs. She was last seen wearing blue scrubs.

Suspect 2 �” Black female , early 30’s 160-180. She was last seen wearing scrubs. She had braids and nose rings.

SMASH & GRAB – VICTORVILLE, CA

On 9/18/23, at 12:35 p.m., a jewelry store experienced a smash and grab robbery.� Upon entry into the store via the mall entrance side, two subjects proceeded to the two cases containing gold where they began to smash into the cases with a sledgehammer.� Once access to the case was gained, both subjects began to select and conceal various gold jewelry items into a large white bucket.� These two subjects appeared to be part of a group of five that conducted a smash & grab at another jewelry store in Cabazon, CA on 9/14/23.� The subjects then exited the store and adjacent mall exit.� Mall security and the Victorville Sheriff’s Department were notified and an investigation was initiated.�

Suspect(s) Description:

Suspect #1 �” Black male, late teens/early 20’s, 5’6”, with a thin build.� He was last seen wearing a dark colored hoodie, grey pants, white or grey backpack, red gloves, and black shoes.

Suspect #2 �” Black male, late teens/early 20’s, 5’6”, with a thin build.� He was last seen wearing a black sweat shirt, dark pants, and a black & white beanie with hearts.� He also carried a white potted planter bucket.

3 subjects cut through adjacent vacant business, then wheeled out jewelry store’s safe

Miami, FL – September 2023 – Three subjects are wanted for cutting through the wall of an adjacent vacant business to gain entry into a jewelry store.

The subjects cut the store’s wires, and tried to destroy their surveillance equipment and computers. The subjects were observed on video wheeling out the store’s safe.
