SMASH AND GRAB – YUBA CITY, CA

On 7/23/23, at 12:00 p.m., a smash and grab robbery occurred at a retail jewelry store.� Two subjects approached from the mall, with the first subject pulling out a crowbar and beginning to repeatedly smash two gold showcases.� As the first subject continued to hit the showcases, the second subject held open a backpack as the first subject removed items from both showcases.� After removing the contents of both showcases, both subjects fled from the location.� There were no injuries to team members or guests.� This group is possibly connected to recent smash and grab armed robberies in Southern California in June and July 2023.

Subject Descriptions:

Subject 1: Black male, late-20’s to early-30’s, approximately 6’ �” 6’2”, heavy build, wearing a black ski mask, gray hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and white shoes.

Subject 2: Black male, late-20’s to early-30’s, approximately 5’10” �” 6’, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt/jacket, gloves, black pants, black shoes, and carrying a black backpack.

BURGLARY SCARSDALE, NY

On 7/17/23, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a jeweler was awakened by an alarm notification from her store’s security system. The owner notified the police. Upon the police’s arrival at the store, they discovered the front door was damaged, and the store was reportedly ransacked. Officers responded to the store within four minutes, but the burglars had already escaped with jewelry worth a high monetary value.

The subjects initially gained entry by prying open the store’s door. Police have stated there were multiple subjects involved and they have an idea of who some of the crew members are. This incident is the second jewelry store burglary in Scarsdale this year. The first incident occurred in March. In that crime, masked subjects used a crowbar to break into the store’s glass front door. They then broke through several display cases and stole jewelry also worth a high monetary value. Investigators have stated that four or five suspects have been arrested for the crime in March, and they are certain the two crimes are not related.

SAN ANTONIO, TX – GRAB AND RUN

On 7/19/23, at approximately 5:45 p.m., a male subject entered a retail jewelry store and walked for about 5 minutes. As he was looking in the display cases, he opened several understock drawers. One of the team members walked to a display case near him and put down an element containing three bracelets while he opened the case to return the element. The suspect grabbed the element and fled the location. The subject was described as a 25-year-old Hispanic male. He is 6’1” and has a thin build. He also has a light complexion and short hair. He is clean-cut and has a tattooed right arm sleeve. He was last seen wearing an orange t-shirt, black shorts, and black Nike tennis shoes. DISTRACTION THEFT – TULALIP, WA

On 07/15/23, at 10:50 a.m., a male and female couple entered a jewelry store and inquired about chains and crosses, and after the male subject chose which one he wanted, his female companion applied for credit. After trying on the chain and cross, the male subject removed them and kept them in his hand. At one point, the male subject had discreetly put on his jacket and either concealed them in his jacket pocket or possibly passed them off to the female companion.�

The video confirms that neither of the two items were returned to either team member assisting the couple.� A second team member returns after retrieving an iPad but shortly thereafter, the couple exited the store without further incident.� Later in the day it was discovered that the two items were not in the showcase.� The following descriptions of the subjects were provided:

Subject #1 �” Male, Black, 37-years-old, 5’8”, 165 lbs, with dreadlocks.� He was last seen wearing a v-neck short sleeve white tee shirt and blue jeans. The subject also had a black jacket that was off when he came into the store and on when he left. His identification had the first name Robert.

Subject #2 �” Female, Black, 30-years-old, 5’5”, 145 lbs, long black straight hair with a few hairs parted on top separated near her forehead, wearing all black.� She also had a large black bag with her at that time as well. Her identification had the first name Ricquel.

GUNPOINT ROBBERY – GREENSBORO, NC

On 7/17/23, a jewelry store opened at 9:30 a.m. Approximately 15 minutes later, two subjects entered the store and robbed it at gunpoint. They took cash from the store but they did not take any jewelry. A description of the robbers was not released, however, they were described as leaving the location in a white van. Masked Gunpoint Robbers Escape With Jewelry

Bridgeview, IL – On July 13, 2023, at approximately 12:15 p.m., employees working in a jewelry store saw an individual approach the door. They believed the person was a customer, and the person was buzzed into the store.

Three masked subjects then entered the store and held three employees at gunpoint. While one of the subjects aimed what appeared to be a semi-automatic rifle at the employees, two other subjects wearing masks with fake beards, jumped over the counter and proceeded to steal jewelry.

At this point, the gunman ordered employees to “get on the ground.” The subjects filled bags with jewelry and then left the store less than three minutes after they entered the store.

On 7/12/23, at approximately 4:30 p.m., at least three male subjects were observed smashing a jewelry store’s glass display cases and then stealing jewelry. Very few details have been released about the crime. The subjects wore black hoodies. Click here to view a video of the crime. GRAB AND RUN – ARLINGTON, VA

On 7/10/23, at approximately 4:10 p.m., a black male entered a jewelry store and expressed interest in looking at rings for a 60-year-old female. There was a female customer at the counter, and he asked the customer what she thought of the ring he picked. The female customer engaged with him giving her opinion. This female customer is a previous customer and is not involved with this situation.

A second male subject came up to the associate’s right side. He put his hand in the case and took a ring prop that could hold 6 items. The store team believes that there were only 5 items in that prop. Both subjects then ran out of the store with the 5 rings. No employees were harmed, and police were called immediately.

The first subject was described as a 55-year-old Black male. He is 5’8″ and has a medium build. He was last seen wearing a half sleeve shirt and he had a bald head. The second subject is a black male. He was last seen wearing a t-shirt with light jeans. He also carried a T-mobile bag. GRAB AND RUN – HIALEAH, FL

On 7/10/23, at 7:15 p.m., a male subject entered a jewelry store and asked to see a particular chain. The chain was removed and shown to the subject. The sales associate then went to the point of sale to check the pricing. When the sales associate returned to the subject, the chain was placed on the showcase, and the sales associate was holding the chain. At that moment, the subject reached over, grabbed the chain and fled from the store.

The subject was described as a Black male in his early 30’s. He is 5’8″ and weighs 150 lbs. He was last seen wearing a green t-shirt with white lettering and square imaging on the front. He also wore dark pants and dark sneakers. The subject was on his cell phone while walking into the store and during the presentation. Four suspects arrested for burglary spree

Nassau County, NY – July 7, 2023 – The Nassau County Police Department’s Major Case Bureau in New York has announced that four suspects were arrested for committing a series of burglaries that took place on April 14, 2023 and May 12, 2023.

The suspects were arrested for committing 3 burglaries at jewelry stores. Two of the crimes occurred on April 14 and the other on May 12.
