Brandon, FL – September 6, 2016
At 7:11 p.m. the black male suspect featured carried out a grab and run at a mall retail jewelry store.
DISTRACTION THEFT – EFFINGHAM, IL
On 9/10/16, at approximately 12:05 p.m., two suspects were shown gold chains by a sales associate. The sales manager noticed the sales associate had four items out on the presentation pad at once. The manager used a code word and stepped in to secure the merchandise. The two suspects then said they would come back later. After the two left, the theft of two items was discovered. The first suspect is a Hispanic male in his early 20’s. He wore a white shirt with grey jeans. He has dark hair with blonde tips. The second suspect is a heavy set Hispanic female in her 50’s. GRAB AND RUN – MCLEAN, VA
On 9/9/16, at approximately 12:10 p.m., a suspect inquired about gold chains. He tried on a chain and asked to see a second chain as well. The sales associate had the second chain in her possession. The suspect then grabbed it from her hand and fled from the store. The suspect was described as a 24-year-old Black male. He is light skinned, 5’10 and weighs 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing light brown khakis and a light colored long sleeve button down shirt. He had a mustache. GRAB AND RUN – OCOEE, FL
On 9/7/16, at approximately 5:15 p.m., two female suspects inquired about bridal sets. During the sales presentation, the sales associate handed each woman a bridal set. At that point, the suspects ran from the store with the items. One suspect fell on the floor as she ran, but both women managed to escape. Witnesses were able to identify the suspect’s getaway vehicle as a beige colored Chrysler with a Florida license plate. Both suspects were described as 23-year-old Black women. One suspect is 5’3 and weighs 135 pounds. She had dark braided hair with red highlights on top. She was last seen wearing an orange shirt with jeans. The second suspect is 5’2 and weighs 120 pounds. She has dark hair and was last seen with a shower cap holding her hair in place. She also wore a gray shirt and jeans. SNEAK THEFT – FLORENCE, S.C.
On 9/5/16, at approximately 6:42 p.m., a suspect inquired about a gold bracelet in a display case. He asked if he could see a second bracelet to compare it with. At this point the suspect had possession of one bracelet and the sales associate had possession of the second bracelet. The suspect then asked for the exact price of the bracelet. When the sales associate turned away to find the exact price, the suspect concealed the bracelet in his pocket. Once the sales associate told him the price, the suspect said he would be back and then left the store. The suspect was described as an African American male in his late 40’s to early 50’s. He is average height and build. He was last seen wearing a suit with a collard shirt and top hat. SMASH AND GRAB – STRONGSVILLE, OH
On 9/1/16, at approximately 8:00 p.m., a suspect entered a store with a sledgehammer. He smashed display cases and stole jewelry. The suspect escaped into a U-Haul truck with two accomplices. The suspects were chased by the police. One 20-year-old male has been arrested. Investigators are searching for a male and female suspect. SMASH AND GRAB – SPRINGFIELD, MO
On 9/1/16, at approximately 3:45 p.m., three men stormed into a jewelry store carrying hammers. The suspects smashed display cases and stole jewelry. Police arrested one suspect, however, two remain at large. The suspects may have fled in a gray Dodge Neon. GRAB AND RUN – HOOVER, AL
On 8/31/16, at approximately 11:45 a.m., a male suspect inquired about woman’s wedding bands. The suspect claimed to have a credit card for the store. He did not allow the sales associate to view the card. The suspect was presented with several rings. Once he was shown a particular ring of interest, he grabbed it from the sales associates hand and fled from the store. The suspect was described as a 21-year-old Black male. He is 5’6†and thin. He has a dark complexion, short black hair and was last seen wearing grey/white t-shirt and jeans. SMASH AND GRAB – MEMPHIS, TN
On 8/27/16, four individuals committed a robbery of a local jewelry store. The suspects smashed display cases with hammers and took high end merchandise. The four suspects escaped in two vehicles; a black Chevy pickup and a white sedan. The suspects are described as black males. GRAB AND RUN – AURORA, CO
On 8/28/16, a suspect inquired about bridal merchandise. While standing at the bridal case, the sales associate removed a one carat ring and gave it to the suspect. The suspect then requested to see a second ring. He wanted to compare the items. The sales associate removed a second ring and handed it to the suspect. Immediately after gaining possession of the second ring, the suspect ran out of the store. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male. He is 6’0†and weighs 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing motorcycle apparel. Specifically, he wore a black and red leather motorcycle jacket and a black, red and white motorcycle helmet. He also wore blue jeans and black and white running shoes. When the suspect entered the store he wore his motorcycle helmet, on top of his head, his face was unobstructed.
