On 4/14/16, at approximately 1:00 p.m., a female and male suspect committed a theft. While looking at earrings, the female suspect grabbed a pair of diamond earrings and ran out of the store. The male suspect then ran out of the store following the female suspect. The two suspects ran into an awaiting vehicle. The vehicle is described as a charcoal grey Hyundai Santa Fe SUV with California license plates. The female suspect is described as being black and in her mid 30’s. She is 5’6†and weighs 200 pounds. She has short hair and has a tattoo on her neck. She was also wearing dark pants, a jacket and a red shirt with an eagle on it. The male suspect is described is also described as being black. He is in his mid 30’s. He is 5 foot 10 and weighs 160 pounds. He has short hair and a thin goatee mustache and a neck tattoo. ARMED ROBBERY – CHARLOTTE, NC
On 4/1/16, a suspect told an employee that he wanted to look at charm bracelets. As soon as the employee turned her back, the suspect put a gun to her back and said “This is a robbery.†The suspect first asked for cash but was very nervous once he was at the cash register. He then began asking the employee if the store had sensors and if she was sounding an alarm. He then turned his attention to the jewelry. He took the employee to the back and tied her hands with a pair of zip ties. The suspect told the employee, “I have five kids, I have no other choice.†He then proceeded to steal jewelry. SHOOTOUT – THOUSAND OAKS, CA
On 4/12/16, at approximately 1:00 p.m., an owner of a jewelry store engaged in a shootout with a suspect who attempted to rob him. The suspect was wounded before he fled. He got into a car driven by another person. They then fled the scene. The owner of the store was not hurt. Investigators are trying to determine if the suspect went to a hospital to have his bullet wound treated.
GRAB AND RUN – TUKWILA, WA
On 4/10/16, a suspect asked to see men’s diamond rings. Once the suspect identified which ring he wanted to see the sales associate presented the ring. At this point, the suspect immediately ran from the store with the ring. The sales associate and a guest ran after the suspect into the parking lot, where the suspect jumped into a car and drove away. The suspect was described as an African American male. He is 5’9†and weighs 165 pounds. He is approximately 20-years-old and has a thin build with short hair. GRAB & RUN – MEMPHIS, TN
On 4/9/16, at approximately 12:35 p.m., a suspect inquired about earrings. He was shown a set that he wanted to compare to another pair of earrings. As the sales associate pulled the second set of earrings out, the suspect grabbed them and ran from the store with both sets of earrings. The suspect was in the store a week prior to the theft and identified himself as Maurice. After the theft, he fled into a grey sedan that was driven by another individual. The suspect is described as an African American male. He is in his late 30’s, was 5’9†and weighs approximately 240 pounds. He wore a white t-shirt and cargo shorts with tennis shoes. The suspect was clean shaven and had a scruffy beard hair on his chin. BURGLARY – SOUTHAVEN, MS
On 4/5/16, at approximately 3:30 a.m., three suspects committed a burglary of a jewelry store. Responding officers found the front door shattered and smashed display cases. All three suspects are African American males. One was described as wearing a white hoodie, with black pants and white shoes. The second suspect wore a black hoodie and black pants with white shoes. SHOTS FIRED IN ATTEMPTED ROBBERY – SAN DIEGO, CA
On 4/2/16, at approximately 8:00 p.m., a group of four males emerged from a vehicle and rushed into a jewelry store. An armed security guard was on duty inside the store. Two of the suspects grabbed the guards arm. The guard was able to break free. He then drew his pistol and took aim at the suspects. The suspects fled and the guard chased after them. At this point, the guard fired shots at the suspects, but missed. The suspects then fled in a Kia Optima with paper plates and a gray Cadillac ATS also with paper plates. Two suspects have been arrested and three remain at large. The three assailants are described as African American men between 5’10†and 6’0.†Each subject was tall, had a medium build and wore a black hoodie and black bandana covering their faces. At approximately 5:00 p.m., a male and female suspect approached a jewelry counter and asked to see earrings. The sales associate showed one set at a time. After displaying the merchandise the sales associate went to place them back in the showcase. At that point, one of the suspects grabbed both sets of earrings. Both suspects fled on foot. The male suspect was described as an African American male. He is 6 foot tall, had a high top haircut and wore a blue hooded sweatshirt. The female suspect is described as African American. She is 5’5 and has black hair with red tips. She wore blue jeans. TRAVELING SALESMEN ROBBED – MONROEVILLE, PA
On 4/2/16, two traveling jewelry salesmen from New Jersey were accosted and robbed of $1.2 million worth of jewelry outside of a café in Pennsylvania. At least four individuals attacked the salesmen. The suspects broke into the victim’s vehicle and took merchandise. The suspects were wearing dark clothing and baseball caps. At least one of the suspects was a woman.
